We have used Steve's services for 3 years. He's always been there for us. We often work out of state and overseas. Sometimes we have to leave at a moment notice. He once pet sat for us for 5 months when we had to go to Australia.
We Have 4 animals, Caster a Pit Bull, Dallas our blind Poodle and two cats, all demanding attention. If Steve is already pet sitting for another client, he will come over 4 times a day to feed, give medications, let everyone out for potty breaks and just spend time with them. His first visit would be 6 in the morning. His last visit would be around 11 at night to let the dogs out for the last time and let the cats in. I don't know how he does it.
When we return our home is always spotless, the guest bedroom linen is clean, bathroom clean. He once even pressured washed the outside of our house to get the Georgia clay off. He even leaves us some of his famous chili and spaghetti sauce.
We hate to see Steve leave us but Georgia just isn’t for him. If we have to leave for a long period of time, we will fly Steve out here. It will be worth the cost, knowing that our pets are in the best of hands.
Steve has pet sat for us on several occasions. Our dog Gurl loves him to death because he takes her for rides. When we come back, she will lay at the front door for a couple of days waiting for Steve.

Steve was a great help when I pulled my back muscle, I could barely get out of bed and could not bend over to feed my dog or go down the stairs to take him for a walk for a week. Steve came over three times a day to do so.

If I'm not able to go home for lunch or going to have a long day, I can always count on Steve to come to my home to feed and let my baby Spanky outside. I also have offices in San Diego and Bevery Hills. If I'm not able to return home in the evening, Steve will let Spanky spend the night with him. She even has her own bed at his home.

I was talking to my brother who lives in Palm Springs about trying to find someone to watch our pets why I fly to New York to meet my wife.
He told me about Steve, who helped him with his dog when he had a bad back. Steve came to his home 3 times a day to feed and take his dog for his walks.
We have 3 dogs, one that is on medication and must have them every day. A cat and my birds in my large aviary outside.
I could tell that Steve was a professional and took is job seriously within a few minutes into our conversation.
After telling Steve about my dog on medication and the birds feeding, Steve suggested that he come down to San Diego a day early just to make sure that he understood everything at no charge. He even offered to take me to the airport the next morning.
When we returned home, Steve left us a detailed daily report of what he did with our pets. Such as med times, feed times and walks. He even watered all of outdoor and indoor plants. My wife was so happy, she was worried about her plants. We must have 50 outdoor plants in containers around our deck, pool area and front yard. He cleaned our outdoor furniture, hosed down the deck and cleaned around and under my aviary. He also washed the sheets.
Steve did way more than what I thought he would or should do. We will diffidently use his service again. And we have let all of friends know about his supered service.
Steve also text us every evening to let us know that all went well. Sometimes he would include photos.

My wife and I just moved from Seattle to the Desert this last spring. One of our biggest concerns was finding a house/dog sitter for our beloved Shih Tzu Kassie. Our dog can be a handful sometimes so we knew it was going to take a special person to entrust our care of our dog and home to.
We found Steve on the internet and gave him a call. Steve offered to come over to our house to meet us and our pup and he did so several times to let Kassie get used to a new person in her life all this prior to even starting his dog/house sitting. To make a long story short Steve has now house and dog sat for us 2 times and counting.. Both he and Kassie get along great. Steve stays in touch with us while we are gone with updates via text mail. (which is very important to us.) Steve also keeps a log of day to day activities for us to view. Oh-did I mention that the house is always spotless when we return home.
We can now leave on vacations knowing that our pup and home are in good hands. We would recommend Steve to anyone in need of a fantastic house/dog sitter. Thanks Steve!!!!

Sorry I didn’t get to thank-you for the dog walking for Mary Carlson Sept. 17 - 22.
I am Mary's father-in-law and am unable to help due to my age.Your actions were very acceptable and the dogs seemed to accept you in many ways. When you wished to start with two of the four dogs each morning, two dogs got together so you would pick them.
I would be glad to recommend to others that your work is very acceptable.

To whom it may concern,
Steve has walked my dog for the last several weeks. I have found him to be reliable, showing up on time, and using good judgement. My dog is more than overjoyed to see him each day. I would recommend Steve to anyone looking for a dependable person to walk their dog or dogs.
Steve has done a wonderful job taking care of our pets. I recommend him highly. He has sent us pictures of our pets when we have been away. Thank you Steve for all the wonderful care and we look forward to using you in the future.

When you try to imagine an amazing, caring, gentle pet caregiver...double that image and you have Steve Warchak! We nervously left for a 4 day trip, leaving our 16 yr old sister doggies with Steve, having only met him once before. We had interviewed several companies prior to Steve but his calming demeanor and yet, take charge action plan, sold us immediately. He is a blessing to have in our lives. He came in and instantly kneeled down to meet each of the "girls" and then identified our needs, their needs and clearly explained his services, costs and experience. He seriously brought his own bed, slept in the living room near the girls and left our home spotless. I had anticipated coming home to stressed, anxious dogs but instead they smiled for days after Steve left. I believe they needed a vacation from us as much as we needed a break from them! At 16 years old, these two little old ladies need special food, medicines, have a set walk routine, get brushed twice a day, sleep alot and can be grumpy about whose turn it is to get attention. Oh my!We hope Steve will always be our doggie caregiver! And I know the girls feel the same way! Leanne, Lamont, Sammy and Sarah
My wife and I have a 13.5 year old pug named Opu who is paralyzed from a genetic motor neuron disease and also suffers from Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (also known as Doggie Dementia or Doggie Alzheimer's). Because our poor baby is paralyzed he cannot reach his food or water bowl so he needs to be hand fed and have his water bowl brought up to his face to drink it and because of his dementia he suffers from very severe separation anxiety where he whines, barks, and pants excessively at times. Needless to say he can be a handful to take care of. My wife and I were staying in Palm Desert recently for the nearby Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival and we had to bring our sweet boy Opu with us. The problem was we would be leaving Opu alone for 12 hours a day for what is a 3 day event. We decided we needed to find a pet sitter while we were at the festival. WE ARE SO LUCKY WE FOUND STEVE WARCHAK!!! All the great reviews you have read about this man I can attest to and cannot recommend him enough for his dog sitting services. He is truly one of the sweetest and most gentle person we have ever met and our pug Opu adored him. From the moment Steve arrived each day he sat down next to our pug and gently petted him and talked sweetly to him. He had an easier time making Opu at ease and relaxed than even my wife and I do it seemed! Also Steve never left or pug's side, he stayed with him the whole time and made sure he was taken care of as if either my wife and I ourselves were there. Also, while we were at the festival for 12 hours a day he sent photos to us of our sweet boy relaxing and seeing those photos allowed us to have a better time at the festival and not have to worry so much about our baby. Long story short, if you want to hire a pet sitter that will care for your fur babies just as much as you do than you cannot go wrong with hiring Steve Warchak!! Sincerely and much love,Christopher and Christina Haverick
Sometimes we think our dog Dozier loves Steve more than us.

Hi Steve, Sorry this is so late. Brooklyn misses you - ! Even if I take her for a walk a little early, she sits dutifully by the sliding door window at 3, sitting in wait for Uncle Steve! Steve was our dog walker for 4+ months while my husband was recuperating from surgery. It was hard to let him go. Not only does our dog miss him, but WE miss him! He is a both a gentleman and a great guy. He clearly loves dogs and ours loves him! Punctual and thoughtful. Even our neighbors and friends got to know him on his dog walks and THEY miss him, as well.We recommend Steve highly and won't hesitate to call him when we go on vacation; we know we can confidently leave him in charge of the house and the dog while we are gone. Hope this helps. BEST TO YOU. Anything we can do for you, please don't hesitate to let us know. You are at the top of our list for "who to call" both for dog help AND for the chili party we might eventually pull together!
We have used Steve from Rex and Sly Pet Sitting Service for several years. My husband and I often have to travel for work at the same time. I can’t stand the thought of leaving our furry family members at a kennel. Steve stays at our home, feeds and walks the dogs on their regular schedule. Steve even brings his own bed, coffee maker etc. He is so neat and tidy that I can’t even tell that someone has stayed at the house. At first, we had two older dogs and now this year we have a new puppy. Steve took care of him for 3 weeks while we were on vacation. He even worked on training him to walk on the leash. Steve is both reliable and professional and I know that my dog is loved and cared for. Steve also updates me daily via text messages or email so I don’t have to worry about anything. I highly recommend Steve.

Steve is the best dog person we ever hired. He is dependable, caring, great with our dogs and always in full communication with us.
Our dogs love him and can't wait to see him. He makes the whole process easy. We highly recommend him and have recommended him to our friends.
